Kim Howell

Kim has worked in Human Resources Learning + Development since 2001. Her experience focuses on professional and leadership development in the public and private sectors. She has published and designed learning programs on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and uses design thinking and innovation in her consulting approach in order to build a more equitable workforce and workplace. Kim has designed, developed, and delivered learning solutions for companies including Google, Citrix, Ventura County Fire Department, Roche-Genentech, and California Lutheran University, where she was the recipient of the Excellence in Education Award for outstanding instruction.

Prior to her consulting roles, Kim was Senior Leader, Learning and Development at Ciena Corporation. There, she worked with emerging leaders, managers, and staff to build the global learning and development landscape through learning programs, coaching, and resource planning.

Kim holds an MA and PhD in Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, an MBA in Organizational Development and Behavior from California Lutheran University, and a BS in business management from University of Phoenix Southern California campus. Her work has been acknowledged by the American Management Association and International Association of Applied Management. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and volunteers with organizations focused on supporting marginalized populations.
