Gabriel Blau has held leadership roles in the private and non-profit sectors since 2002. He helps organizations identify and pursue strategic goals, including in the areas of growth, marketing, operations, and human resources.
Most recently, Gabriel was Global Director for HR Strategy and Operational Excellence at ITT Inc., where he built a workforce strategy and analytics function and oversaw M&A. Prior to that, Gabriel was the CEO of Family Equality Council, a national LGBTQ civil rights organization, where he led the campaign for marriage equality and successfully sued the State of Mississippi to end the last state ban on adoption in the United States. Gabriel began his career launching and running a digital marketing agency, where he worked with small businesses to increase visibility and leverage emerging opportunities online. Additionally, he served on the leadership team at Congregation Beit Simchat Torah, where he ran development, communications, and a $24 million capital campaign.
Gabriel received his BA in Theology from Bard College, and his MBA from Columbia Business School. He is currently pursuing his MS in Data Analytics from Western Governors University. He serves on the board of Equality New York and is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management.
