Celia Berk
Celia Berk (she, her) has worked in corporate HR and Talent roles since 1991. She is a Senior HR leader, and has experience in overseeing all HR functions at companies of various sizes and industries. She specializes in change management and partners with executives on complex strategic business decisions to affect business transformation, HR restructuring, talent development and organizational design.
Celia has held inaugural roles as Group Talent Partner for WPP and as Chief Employee Experience Officer for J. Walter Thompson. In these roles she created culture scorecards and success profiles, introduced leadership development and succession planning, launched talent and D&I strategies and created a business integrity function. Previously, as the first Chief Talent Officer for Young & Rubicam Group, Celia partnered with the CIO to rationalize and reorganize the IT function and developed a cross-company initiative to cultivate integrated talent across multiple disciplines and geographies.
Celia received her BFA in Theater Arts from Hofstra University. She is a member of the school’s Women in Leadership Initiative and is a Founding Member of the Advisory Board for the National Executive Service Corps. Celia is also a Founding Trustee of the Nina Abrams Fund which has supported the arts, education, children, social justice and vulnerable social groups for over a decade. Finally, she is distinguished as an award-winning vocalist and has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Jazz At Lincoln Center, The Town Hall and Birdland Jazz Club.
