Camille Henderson Davis has worked in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion + Belonging (DEIB), people strategy, and HR leadership roles since 2000. She specializes in helping forward-thinking organizations design and evolve their company culture, improve their DEIB strategies, retain exceptional people of all backgrounds and become better companies as a result. As leader of the Human Resources department at Agios Pharmaceuticals, Camille directed the growth of all aspects of the division, focusing primarily on DEIB and cultural development and developing and overseeing all aspects of performance management, employee relations, internal coaching, and culture strategy. Previously, she served as a Principal Diversity Consultant for Research & Product Development at Genentech-Roche. Here, she designed the first people strategy to be endorsed by Genentech’s Executive Committee, increasing women’s retention and leadership development through changes to managerial effectiveness models, talent management and acquisition, and high potential employee career pathways. Additionally, Camille has worked as a DEIB consultant and coach for clients such as Wegmans Food Markets, City of Hope Cancer Research Hospital, the University of Chicago, and the University of Dayton School of Law. Camille holds an M.A. and PhD in the History of Race and Race Theory from the University of Chicago, where she was named a Board of Trustees Fellow. Camille earned her B.A. in U.S. History from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign where she was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society and graduated Cum Laude. Camille also enjoys volunteering at organizations including: Reading Partners, Big Sunday Day of Service, Arthur Rank Hospice, and the Partnership for Los Angeles Schools.
